Our Past Group Trips
Rhine Castles and Swiss Alps on AmaMora
November 2024
Our group journey began with a three-night stay in Amsterdam; we explored its iconic canals, renowned museums, and delightful local cuisine.
From there, we embarked on the luxurious AmaWaterways' AmaMora river cruise along the Rhine, stopping in charming towns and cities in Germany and France. Each destination offered unique cultural and scenic experiences, complemented by the cruise’s outstanding cuisine and the camaraderie of our group.
After concluding the cruise in Basel, Switzerland, we enjoyed a scenic drive through the Swiss Alps, visiting the historic town of Bellinzona with its stunning medieval castles.
The trip ended with three serene nights in Lake Como, Italy. Surrounded by majestic mountains and tranquil waters, we explored lakeside towns, savored Italian cuisine, and reflected on the unforgettable experiences shared throughout our journey.
This adventure, filled with exploration, bonding, and lasting memories showcased the beauty and diversity of Europe - from Amsterdam to Lake Como.
Christmas Markets and the Danube on AmaMagna
December 2023
Our enchanting adventure began in Munich, Germany; our group explored the city’s magical Christmas markets and indulged in the local cuisine. The following day, we journeyed to Salzburg, Austria, with a stop to marvel at Steingaden's breathtakingly beautiful Weiss Church and onwards to climb the hill to Neuschwanstein Castle. This quintessential fairy-tale castle, renowned for its stunning architecture, famously inspired Disney's Cinderella's Castle.

The journey continued to Salzburg, Austria; we stayed at the iconic Goldener Hirsch Hotel, just steps from Mozart’s birthplace. Over three magical nights, we immersed ourselves in Salzburg’s festive markets and explored its charming surroundings, including the Mozart Dinner Theatre, to create unforgettable holiday memories.
Next, we boarded AmaWaterways’ flagship vessel, the all-suite AmaMagna, for a luxurious river cruise from Budapest to Vilshofen. Along the way, we visited vibrant Christmas Markets in Slovakia, Austria, and Germany. The ship offered stunning accommodations, exceptional cuisine, and an inviting atmosphere. A group dinner at Jimmy's, one of the ship’s specialty restaurants, became a trip favorite, with its delicious food and newfound friendships.

For some, our adventures concluded in Vilshofen; others of our group ventured to Prague for a post-cruise experience. This festive journey, abounding with joy, togetherness, and the magic of Europe’s Christmas Markets, left us with cherished memories to last a lifetime.
Prague, and Venice to Athens on Silver Shadow with Johns Hopkins
June 2019
We had the privilege of taking 112 people, including the Johns Hopkins Baseball Team, coaching staff, and their families, to Prague to participate in an international baseball tournament. Competing against European national teams, the group spent an incredible week playing baseball, sightseeing, and immersing themselves in Prague’s rich culture, vibrant nightlife, and stunning architecture. A highlight of our stay was a delightful river cruise dinner that showcased the city’s nocturnal beauty from the water.

After the tournament, participants of the post-trip flew to Venice, Italy, and boarded the luxurious Silver Shadow by Silversea. From Venice, our journey took us through the Adriatic Sea to spectacular destinations, including Pula and Dubrovnik in Croatia, and Argostoli, Santorini, and Rhodes in Greece. Each stop offered unique experiences, from exploring historic landmarks to soaking in breathtaking coastal views.

The adventure concluded with a stay at the opulent Grand Bretagne Hotel in Athens; we spent multiple nights exploring the ancient city and reflecting on the remarkable trip. An unforgettable experience of competition, connection, and cultural exploration, this journey left lasting memories for everyone involved.
